NCG’s Kidderminster College has made the shortlist for two categories in the 2023 Worcestershire Apprenticeships Award.
The College has been shortlisted for Training Provider of the Year which recognises institutions across the county that work with local businesses to provide bespoke apprenticeships.
The nomination acknowledges the College’s work with schools, and the support it provides to some of the largest local employers in Kidderminster, including Severn Valley Railway, DRPG and Community Housing.
Meanwhile, Danny Pardoe, Business Engagement Lead at Kidderminster College, is in the running to be named Apprenticeship Champion of the Year.
The Apprenticeship Champion of the Year category celebrates the people behind apprenticeships; those who go above and beyond to promote apprenticeships across the county and provide support for apprentices and the businesses that employ them.
Danny said: “It’s a real honour to be nominated for Apprenticeship Champion of the Year. We’ve worked tirelessly at Kidderminster College to help the Worcestershire community with apprenticeship provision, training, raising awareness and integration of apprenticeships across a variety of industries and being recognised for this work is fantastic.”
The 2023 Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards will take place at the West Midlands Safari Park on Thursday 16 November and will celebrate the most successful apprentices, employers, schools, and training providers across 11 categories.
