Senior executives from NCG were host to hundreds of education leaders last month, as they hosted and presented at the inaugural Further Education Partnership Network (FEPN) conference.
Sponsored by Google, the event in Milton Keynes was an opportunity for decision-makers in further education to connect, collaborate and find new ways to pave the way for educational excellence.
Scott Mulholland, NCG’s Chief Information, Data and Estates Officer, chaired the event and hosted two discussion panels - one on how FE institutions can meet their objectives against current financial constraints, and another on the potential of AI for the FE sector.
Speaking at the event, Scott said: “We are really pleased to play a key role in this event, and it has been fantastic to hear lots of new ideas and discussions from across the sector.
“We had a lively discussion in the debate around financial constraints and several interesting themes emerged from it. The one that really caught my attention was the idea that there is no real conflict between sustainability and doing more with less. Collaboration and partnerships are key, which is why events like this one are so important for those in the sector to share ideas.”
Also speaking at the event was NCG's CEO Liz Bromley, who talked about the impact of the changes associated with reclassification on the agility and responsiveness of further education institutions.
Liz commented: “It has been absolutely wonderful to be speaking at this inaugural conference. It’s so important that the FE sector comes together to debate the really important issues at this time.”
Steven Wallis, Executive Director of Quality at NCG rounded off with a session on how colleges can gain a deeper understanding of performance trends and identify areas for improvement, by making complex data visually engaging.
Colleagues from across NCG were also in attendance at the event.
