NCG was awarded the Blended Learning Consortium (BLC) Impact Award for excellent use of BLC content to support learning across its seven colleges, at the BLC Summer Conference recently.

The BLC was set up in 2015, as an open, democratic partnership of colleges working together to create high-quality, online learning content.

The Impact Award is given to the college or college group that has best demonstrated how teachers have used the BLC learning materials to support learners, and how those learners have benefited from them.

To be successful, colleges had to show how BLC materials were used to support learning, how learners benefited from using BLC materials and how BLC materials impacted on factors such as learner engagement, participation and success.

Rob Wraith, NCG’s Head of Learning Technology and Digital Learning said: “I would like to thank the team and staff I have worked with across NCG, as you have enabled us to achieve this award. The conversations, the ideas the pilots that we have had, the hard work, as well as the technical support to make sure we can use EdTech across the group to make teaching and learning accessible.”
