Colleagues from across NCG came together to focus on the future this month, as NCG held its annual Leadership Summit.
The events, hosted this year by Lewisham College and Newcastle College, bring together colleagues who have completed NCG’s Leadership Hub development programmes, and focus on addressing the current and future challenges of working in further education.
It is an opportunity for participants to gather face-to-face with colleagues from across the country and work collaboratively, take part in leadership workshops with senior leaders, and share good practice and their thoughts and experiences of leadership.
This year’s Summits were focused on NCG’s ambition to be an outstanding group of colleges, and how great leadership can support great performance.
Rob Wraith, NCG's Head of Learning Technology and Digital Learning, attended the event and said: "The Leadership Summit certainly lived up to its name! I thought it was an excellent opportunity to listen, understand, share and collaborate with colleagues during a full day of well planned, informative sessions."
NCG’s Leadership Hub was launched in 2021, with the aim of instilling a supportive and inclusive culture across NCG that supports its wider aims and strategic objectives within the FE sector. Development opportunities are designed for colleagues at every level, from aspiring future managers to senior leaders.
Liz Bromley, CEO of NCG said: “I am thrilled by how much the Leadership Hub has grown, with more than 300 colleagues graduating from the different programmes. At NCG, we are determined to support all colleagues to unlock their untapped potential and develop ‘ambitious and responsible leaders’ who value and empower people, by being both inclusive and diverse.”
